Position Summary
The University of South Carolina Aiken is seeking an HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on campus. This position supports the Universitys housing facilities and helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and identify appropriate repairs.
- Assist with the installation, replacement, and servicing of HVAC equipment and components.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and address maintenance concerns as needed.
- Support maintenance operations within university housing and other assigned campus facilities.
- Follow established safety procedures, maintenance standards, and applicable regulations.
- Respond to HVAC service requests and assist with other related maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems. Relevant HVAC training, education, certifications, and hands-on experience may be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated hiring salary ranges from $44,296 to $54,263 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
