Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s Student Health Center is seeking to hire a Physician, Psychiatry. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
- Assesses and treats students in need of psychiatric care.
- Works within the EHR , to include patient history, formulating and prescribing treatment and/or making outside referrals as needed.
- Provides input to establish short and long-term goals for the clinical operation of Student Health in the area of psychiatric care.
- Implements the development of policies, procedures, and programs that most effectively address the needs of students.
- Provides psychiatric care to the students of USA as needed on an appointment basis.
- Provides oversight of the Psychiatry Residents on their clinical days when applicable.
- Monitors effectiveness of schedule templates and clinical protocols.
- Assists in maintaining AAAHC accreditation.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
