Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public health, nursing, social work or related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, four years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a medical business office or four years of professional nursing experience and licensure in the state of Alabama. Directly related experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

Essential Functions
The primary role will be to establish, coordinate and market an internal workforce development program to address the short-term and long-term labor needs of USA Health. In addition to helping with labor needs, the program will focus on providing unemployed and low income employees in our region with career opportunities in healthcare. The Manager of USA Health’s Workforce Development program will coordinate with Human Resources and USA Health Management to identify workforce needs throughout organization; develop a portfolio of healthcare training programs that addresses the identified needs of our system; ensure that program curriculum and training includes job relevant skills and education to match job expectations; integrate new program elements identified through program evaluation and industry partner feedback to ensure training programs are responsive to needs of both employers & trainees; oversee delivery of program curriculum to students through the recruitment, training, and support of quality instructors; conduct quality assurance on all programs to ensure compliance with program expectations, as well as satisfaction of trainees and USA Health partners; work with internal partners to secure program equipment, supplies, and appropriate training venues inside of USA Health and possibly in the community; market to local secondary schools and community on a regular basis; work with local schools to establish admission criteria and process for potential students; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work the schedule as defined and overtime and call as required; related duties as required.
