Essential Functions
- Develops, plans, and implements a variety of programs, including but not limited to, camps, conferences, educational programs, training, and community programs.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to create new initiatives based on labor market research, community needs assessment, grant and contract funding opportunities, and input from regional business/industry partners to cultivate a data-driven outcome culture.
- Coordinates all logistical aspects of camps, conferences, and/or programming including venue selection, scheduling, transportation, accommodations, catering, equipment, etc.
- Develops and maintains detailed event timelines and checklists.
- Evaluates program effectiveness and makes data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Serves as a point of contact for clients, participants, and vendors.
- Handles inquiries, registrations and feedback promptly and professionally with specific, customized packaging, on-site credit/non-credit courses, seminars/workshops, or other appropriate delivery strategies.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises camps, conference, and programming staff, including counselors, facilitators, lecturers, and volunteers.
- Negotiates contracts for terms and requirements such as pricing, times, dates, locations, instructors, credit or non-credit, etc.
- Travels to and attends meetings and events which will require working nights and weekends.
- Interacts in a professional manner with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and outside constituencies.
- Ensures compliance with applicable university, state, and federal regulations as well as health, safety and accessibility standards.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
