Responsibilities
The Health Care Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for the health care system, ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent. This role efficiently fills open positions and develops local, regional, and national strategies to source, recruit, and onboard qualified candidates.1. Partners with hiring managers, including the nursing management team, to determine staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies and priorities to fill critical positions.2. Posts positions on the USA Health website, external job boards, journals, and relevant networks.3. Screens applicants for qualifications and conducts in-person or phone interviews as needed.4. Conducts on-site tours of hospital and clinical facilities with prospective employees and is knowledgeable of service lines offered, including specialty care. 5. Coordinates with nursing and clinical department directors to ensure that applicant screening and evaluation is consistent with position requirements 6. Identifies and attends local, state, regional, or national nursing/clinical recruitment events, including job fairs, open interview days, college recruiting events, and industry associations, acting as the primary point of contact for HR.7. Plans and coordinates recruiting events for nurses and other clinical positions to include reserving space, coordinating refreshments, coordinating availability with department heads, and advertising for events.8. Maintains strong relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, industry contacts, professional associations, social media, including colleges and nursing/healthcare field schools to achieve staffing goals.9. Performs reference and background checks prior to extending offers.10. Assists with scheduling candidates for drug screens, onboarding, and orientation.11. Makes hiring recommendations to managers as requested.12. Coordinates interviews between candidates and hiring managers.13. Follows up on interview process and candidate status.14. Communicates employer information and benefits during interviews, screenings, and recruitment events.15. Handles administrative duties and maintains recruiting and onboarding records.16. Collaborates with hiring managers and compensation teams to create or update job descriptions.17. Conducts regular follow-ups with managers to evaluate recruiting effectiveness.18. Builds and maintains a talent pipeline in anticipation of future needs.19. Researches and recommends new sourcing strategies for active and passive candidates.20. Conducts exit interviews as needed.21. Ability to workthe schedule as defined and additional hours as required.22. Related duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, health care administration or related field required from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and three years of progressive human resources, administrative, or related experience required. Healthcare experience is preferred.
