Job Purpose:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for the Office of Human Resources and performs a full range of varied and complex administrative duties and projects for the Vice President for Human Resources and the Office of Human Resources staff, including greeting and assisting visitors, triaging incoming calls and general email correspondence, data entry, invoice payment, budget tracking, and coordination of human resource sponsored events.
Essential Duties:
- Provide Human Resources specific and general administrative assistance to the Vice President for Human Resources as needed, including meeting set-up, travel arrangements and special projects
Additional Skills Required:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required and ability to interface with all levels of university community members including administration, faculty, staff, students, and guests
- Collaborative team player with proactive approach- Must be able to work in a professional, courteous and confidential manner; maintains confidentiality of data and information in all mattersHigh-level knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook necessary
Experience in calendaring, e-mail, and group scheduling, travel, Internet, and database software Must be able to work on and manage electronic files in multiple platforms Must be willing to learn emerging technologies Must be able to respect, support, and contribute to the Universitys Catholic and Jesuit mission Must be able to support the Universitys commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in an office setting in an administrative role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in human resources is preferred
Schedule/Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required.
