The Web Content Coordinator supports the University’s enrollment, marketing, and strategic goals by creating, managing, and maintaining website content that is accurate, accessible, and aligned with the University’s brand, messaging, and mission. Using the content management system (CMS), the coordinator publishes and optimizes text, images, and multimedia, applying SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices and using analytics to improve web performance.

Essential Duties
- Support the University’s website content review and implementation schedules to ensure consistent delivery of up to date, engaging, dynamic, accessible and user-friendly content, aligned with the University’s goals and priorities.
- Write, edit, upload and maintain web content using the University’s CMS system, following University content, style and brand guides and engaging, as applicable, University departments and stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, alumni).
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, University Communications, Creative Services and Admissions to ensure that assets created align with the University’s mission, goals and brand guidelines.
- Prepare existing and new content to align with SEO and GEO strategies and best practices and to meet applicable Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards and state/federal accessibility regulations.
- Identify and upload images, graphics, and videos for web use that are formatted, resized, and optimized.
- Assists in maintaining content calendars, conducting content audits and page reviews, and enforcing governance decisions made by directors or leadership.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within deadline constraints and to work collaboratively with other professionals.
- The ability to uphold human dignity and respect by recognizing each person’s worth, valuing diverse perspectives, and treating others with kindness, fairness, and empathy.
- Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the University’s Catholic and Jesuit mission.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
Preferred Education Minimum Job Experience Requirements
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related professional experience in web content development, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in researching, writing and editing digital or web‑based content.
- Demonstrated experience using SEO, GEO and other optimization techniques, and working knowledge of user experience and web analytics tools.
- Proficiency in uploading and maintaining accessible content and images using a web content management system.
- Drupal experience preferred.
- Experience working in higher education or a mission‑driven organization, strongly preferred.
