Position Summary
This is a full-time, non-tenure, twelve-month clinical faculty position. Responsibilities of this position include teaching students, demonstrating contemporary expertise in assigned teaching areas, and participating in Program meetings and committees as appropriate. This position has the responsibility and authority to contribute to the establishment of academic regulations and to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the DPT curriculum.

Essential Functions

- Active involvement in the physical therapy profession with an understanding of key issues in physical therapy education and contemporary treatment techniques.

- Teach 23-25 contact hours per academic year (fall, spring, summer), or equivalent in course loads as approved by the division chair and Provost.
- Facilitate and direct program affiliation providing Pro Bono Clinic services
- Ability to engage in an ongoing program of scholarship and provide service to the program and the University.
- Ability to mentor students in research and advise a student group throughout a research project.
- Active participation in student recruitment and retention to achieve program goals.
- Performs additional job related duties as assigned.
- Earned terminal clinical doctoral degree in physical therapy (DPT or t-DPT) and at least one specialization certification
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice physical therapy in Kansas.
- At least three years of full-time licensed work as a physical therapists in the United States
- Experience teaching as a full-time ranked college/university faculty or combined teaching experiences with other professional work, preferred.
- Specialization certification from American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), preferred.
