The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Junior Camp Counselor. Saint Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition. The Junior Camp Counselor will report to Director of Youth Programming and will have responsibility over ensuring the university's Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and commitment to the liberal arts remain at the center of our educational mission and public identity. The Junior Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting the Director of Youth Programming in advancing the university's efforts in implementing the new mission statement and strategic plan. The successful candidate will assist with the facilitation of a SF summer camps and assumes responsibility for the care, supervision, and instruction of campers. A JCC is expected to mentor and lead campers. Additionally, a counselor assists the DYP and faculty facilitators with ideas and suggestions for program development and improvement. Lastly, a JCC will assist the Senior Camp Counselors with creating and carrying out lesson plans for the assigned camps. All counselors are expected to exercise good judgment, independence, and initiative in conducting day-to-day operations.
