Responsibilities
Assists in the merchandising functions of the Gallery Shop/Art Lending Services, including responsibility for inventory, accounting functions and office procedures. Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise. Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise.
Essential Functions
- Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise. Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise. Establishes a supply storage inventory.
- Supervises and schedules student and part-time workers. Maintains time sheets and related records. Schedules volunteer coordinators and ensures adequate coverage of attendants at admissions machine.
- Develops and maintains volunteer training manual and participates in the training of volunteers.
- Authorizes payment of approved invoices to vendors and artists through the University Accounting Department.
- As required, prepares timely and accurate reports and maintains necessary records.
- Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with members of the Gallery staff, other University personnel and the general public.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
