Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
With general direction from the Administrator and latitude for initiative and judgment, this position
performs both routine and non-routine duties to support the needs of Mt. Hope Family Center.
The Receptionist provides assistance and directs all clients, visitors and contractors to appropriate staff while maintaining security of the building and order of the reception area.
Duties include, but are not limited to: answering all incoming telephone calls from multi-line switchboard, forwarding calls, and/or taking complete, detailed messages as needed; greeting and announcing visitors and maintaining security of the building using intercom and camera systems; coordination of Google calendars such as daily scheduled clinical and research visits and other appointments, conference room reservations and scheduling of meetings; sorting and routing of mail, packages and digital faxes; postage handling and monthly reporting; some copying, scanning, typing, and filing; other administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
This position requires two years of post-high school education and at least two years of secretarial, word processing and practical office experience with demonstrated ability to work with limited direction. The Receptionist must be able to answer and/or forward calls via a multi-line switchboard, type at least 55 words per minute, and operate standard office machines and word processing equipment. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Google Calendars and Zoom.
