Compensation Range

$96,860.00 - $145,290.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

Leads and oversees the daily operation of the Kearns Center. Develops strategies and procedures necessary to effectively implement office programs and goals. Provides direct service to students in an administrative capacity.

Essential Functions

• Oversees the office including managing the daily operations. Prepares an overall plan to inform undergraduate students about the available academic opportunities with the development of a comprehensive advising program. Works closely with the senior management team in this advising program effort. Supervises and orients assigned clerical and professional staff. Maintains responsibility for hiring, training, evaluating, and assigning work schedules of clerical staff.
• Represents the office and the University at professional meetings and events both on and off campus. Acts as an administrative coordinator to the Administrative Committee of the College to monitor student academic standing and all exceptions to the faculty policies governing the undergraduate curriculum. Acts as an office liaison to academic departments, faculty and students. Develops programs, procedures, and strategies necessary to communicate University policy and procedures to the undergraduate student population and faculty. Serves as primary office liaison for computer matters, including Office of Administrative Information Services contacts, programming, and office computers, including recommending and implementing systems.
• Initiates and receives calls from parents of undergraduates, staff in other administrative offices, and faculty who seek help for individual students or information about student progress as well as matters requiring tact and confidentiality. Assists other staff with difficult or sensitive situations, readmits students to the College requiring extensive contact with faculty advisors. Provides direct service to undergraduate students in an advising or administrative capacity. Handles highly complicated and/or particularly difficult situations in the office, such as meeting with students who wish to withdraw, students who wish to return after medical withdrawal, and academic separations.
• Collects and analyzes information to evaluate the effectiveness of academic advising services. Monitors the budget, including approval of requisitions and review of monthly expenditures.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Master's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience required
