The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time (12 month), tenure-track faculty position in the Holzer School of Nursing for in-person classes. The priority need for expertise is in OB/Pediatrics and Medical-Surgical Nursing. Academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) will be based on qualifications.
Rio is seeking an experienced nurse educator with a record of teaching in RN-BSN and ADN programs. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
The standard load is 24 hours per academic year with additional responsibilities to include student advising/mentoring, participation in departmental activities, scholarship/research, and/or University or community service. The successful candidate will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using online, hybrid, and traditional teaching delivery modalities.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Earned Masters in Nursing by the time of the appointment
- At least two years of experience in the Nursing Field
- Expertise and experience in OB/Pediatrics
- Eligible for Ohio RN license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master in Nursing Education, Doctorate in nursing or related field, a minimum of five years of teaching, clinical, and leadership experience, and evidence of scholarship.
