What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Preceptor position at University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College?
Seeking Ohio preceptors for advanced practice nursing students (AGCNS track) near the areas of YOUNGSTOWN, CANTON, AKRON, and CINCINNATI.
Expectations:
Preceptors are expected to mentor RN-licensed AGCNS students for 120 hours over the duration of one semester and complete an end-of-semester student evaluation. A $1500 stipend is paid per student following semester completion. Preceptors are not employees of the university; students attend clinical preceptorship at the preceptor’s workplace.
Qualifications:
- Must have active license in current practice field (MD, DO, NP, PA, CNS, CRNA, MSN-prepared RN in administration or education)
- 2 years post-graduate experience in current specialty preferred
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must obtain your employer’s approval and provide a facility contact for the university to establish an affiliation agreement
This is an adult-gerontology track program. Preceptors working in direct patient care with a pediatric-only population are ineligible.
