Under minimal supervision, perform independent research work and collaborate with the research team to support the needs of highly varied projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Support grant activities across a range of water quality related topics:
Meet regularly with the research team.
Provide regular progress updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Licenses, Tools, And Equipment
Personal computers, printers, word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software. Excel. Google Sheets.

- Conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries of findings in different formats.
- Assist with outreach/engagement products and training.
- Perform website updates and development.
- Coordinate and organize research meetings and outreach events; perform other scheduling as needed.
- Support water and wastewater sample collection as needed.
Meet regularly with the research team.
Provide regular progress updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three years of research experience.
- Familiarity with a minimum of two of the following: water quality issues, emerging contaminants, public health, or community engagement.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in written communication skills.
- Strategic thinking, logistical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience reviewing and summarizing scientific literature.
- Experience with data management (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Experience with drinking water contaminants.
- Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
