The University of Pittsburgh's Community Engagement Center (CEC) in Homewood is seeking a Welcome Attendant to greet and welcome guests to the facility while helping to secure personnel and property as well as safeguard visitors. The Welcome Attendant will report to CEC Director.
Essential Functions
Must be able to interact with university and non-university personnel. Must be competent in written communication skills, and fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English are required for this position. Incumbent must be customer-focused, friendly, and dependable. Shift: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 37.5 hours/week. Some evenings, weekends or earlier start times may be required.
Physical Effort
Welcome and safeguard the Community Engagement Center in Homewood, and assist with moving furniture for meeting set-ups and breakdowns. Occasionally, assisting guests (walking to rooms and out the building).
