What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Manager position at University of Pittsburgh?
Develops and conducts research related training programs and manages day-to-day program operations. Establishes metrics to evaluate program success, conducts surveys and analyses, and ensures needs are fulfilled. Writes articles and prepares reports on the program. Provides direction and technical assistance and ensures quality and accreditation of the program.

As part of the NIH IMPROVE Initiative, EMBRACE’s vision is to advance maternal and reproductive health equity and justice through multidisciplinary research, training, practice, and policy efforts focused on Black birthing people in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding region
Essential Functions
Coordinate all main training component programs and activities, including the seminar series (speaker recruitment, workshop planning, and run-of-show management), summer internship, summer book club, reproductive justice trainings, student and early career investigator mentorship program, community-engaged research pilot program funding, and academic conference travel funding.
Coordinate training activities across center components and other maternal health, reproductive health, or health equity-related projects at the University.
Interact with student and workforce trainees at the University’s Maternal and Child Health Training Center of Excellence as part of the University’s Maternal and Child Health Certificate Program.
Stay current on program activities and developments across the University, the Center, and other NIH IMPROVE Centers and Hubs nationwide
