- Assist with nutrition needs for the Football team
- Nutrition education and counseling, body composition assessment and interpretation, travel nutrition, pre-/post practice and game nutrition, fueling station operations, hydration and Gatorade sweat testing, nutrition inventory maintenance, cooking demos, grocery store tours, etc.
- Oversee the following nutrition needs for the Football team
Maintenance of hydration intervention table for high-risk athletes
Nutrition inventory management
Pre/during/post practice needs for one position group (to be determined) throughout season
- Communicate and work with Steelers Executive Chef and kitchen staff to coordinate training table menus and ordering nutrition product.
- Assist with management of all football fueling stations, including assisting with training undergraduate and graduate volunteers.
- Assist in development and continuous improvement of nutrition education materials and resources
- Perform various administrative duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the sports nutrition staff.
- Registered Dietitian or RD eligible
- At least six months of experience in sports nutrition at the collegiate or professional level
- Ability to work non-standard work hours or work week, including early morning, nights or holidays
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
