Description: The postdoctoral associate will be involved in the analysis of cutting-edge biomarkers using state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and monitoring of the impact of neurodegenerative disease in the life of elderly populations. This includes the quantification of fluid (plasma and cerebrospinal fluid) biomarkers using novel assay methodologies and neuroimaging biomarkers using positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to determine the relationship of these biomarkers of neurodegenerative conditions on elderly patients’ cognitive abilities.
Requirements are: Doctorate in Biological Sciences or Medicine, 0-1 year of experience/exposure in clinical research.Working knowledge of basic sciences, research methodology, and neurodegenerative conditions.
