What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Services I - Cleaner position at University of Pittsburgh?
Performs general housekeeping and janitorial duties. These duties include: sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and wax floors; machine shampoo carpeting; clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, and other interior fixtures; wash windows, trash cans, and glass doors; clean restrooms and replenish supplies; assists in local building entrance snow removal; sets up and move furniture, equipment and supplies; empty waste baskets, pick up and empty trash; cleans and washes light fixtures and replace light bulbs. Drives campus vehicle to pick up and/or deliver supplies, materials or passengers. Assists in loading and unloading vehicles and moving heavy boxes and supplies. Erects and works from scaffolds or ladders. Participates with skilled maintenance workers performing general maintenance duties. Responds to emergency and after hour calls. Follows prescribed safety regulations and inform management of potential risks or hazards. Completes work requests to notify management of repair work. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The Maintenance Services I - Cleaner must have the ability to travel independently throughout the campus, be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds including equipment and supplies. The Maintenance Services I - Cleaner may be exposed to human bodily fluids, cleaning chemicals and/or applicable chemicals.
