Center Administrator at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Pharmacy, provides administrative support for the Center for Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences, the PharmD program, and the Test2Learn Pharmacogenomics Certificate Program.
Essential Functions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Center lab orders up to $100k with timely procurement and compliance with University contracts for up to 40 Center Sponsored Projects and Institutional Research funding sources; lab equipment certification to enhance Center lab efficiency; facilitate Dangerous Goods label creation for the Center’s Category B lab shipments; coordinate Center Test2Learn guest speaker honoraria and supplies.
Support Center strategic website goals and rollout, including regular meetings with Center Director and web developers for website creation and long-term maintenance duties; daily collection, creation, and/or data entry for Center website (news stories, publications, bio pages, etc.) in collaboration with Center Director and website developers.
Lead Center strategic planning and rollout, including Monthly planning meetings with Center Director; monthly meetings with Center faculty; coordinating, updating, and preparing Center recruitment materials; planning and rollout of ad-hoc Center social events.
Lead Center-related Test2Learn learner support: Manage daily help desk operations and inbox for 1,000 learners, ensuring efficient communication and issue resolution for Continuing Education credits.
Strengthen Center Test2Learn external partnerships: Cultivate relationships with 7 key stakeholders, including national university contacts, Department of Veterans Affairs leadership, and UPMC’s Office of Continuing Education. Weekly data upkeep to track progress of >1,000 learners. Set up courses in communication with and compliance with the UPMC ‘s Office of Continuing Education.
Course Support delivery: Manage the learning management system (LMS) for PharmD courses, ensuring faculty materials are organized and exams are effectively created and deployed through ExamSoft. Maintain federal- and University-level accessibility standards for all coursework.
Optimize faculty support: Support faculty agenda by coordinating monthly meetings, conference rooms, and calendars. Update the Center’s website with news items as needed.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
