Professional clinical educators are needed for the following areas:
Primary Care
Pediatric Optometry
Specialty Contact Lenses
RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful candidates must be passionate and experienced in classroom and clinical instruction. These positions will require participation in the KYCO clinics providing direct patient care as well as mentoring student interns.
QUALIFICATIONS: These vacancies will require a minimum Doctor of Optometry Degree (O.D.) and/ or Ph.D (or equivalent) in a discipline related to optometry or its associated basic sciences. Residency training in the appropriate areas of specialty or a
minimum of three years’ relevant clinical experience is preferred. Optometrist applicants should be eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky with expanded therapeutics certification and are expected to participate in patient care services. Prior college teaching experience is strongly preferred.
