What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Computational Biologist position at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine?
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled computational biologist to join our team! This position is specifically designed for PhD or MD with significant computational and statistical genetics skills and provides an exciting opportunity in the field to access and analyze unique and large datasets of deep genomics data (spanning from DNA arrays to exome and genome sequencing, including short and long read; cases-controls and trios-based) for thousands of individuals affected by congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract, nephrotic syndrome caused by focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and minimal change disease, and APOL1 kidney disease . The candidate will have the opportunity to explore, apply, and develop different and innovative approaches to gene and molecular discovery, including complex models of genetic determination such as gene-gene interactions and multiomics integration. The program also offers a wide range of transcriptomics (bulk-RNAseq, scRNAseq, snRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics) and mouse models to functionally validate and interpret discoveries.
