Job: Cashier
Hours: Part time, employees will work two shifts 6am-2:30pm & 11am-7:30pm
Location: Penn Medicine Princeton Health
Summary:
- Operates cash register according to standard procedure. Handles monetary transactions responsibly; addresses all customers in a pleasant and respectful manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operates a cash register according to the department and hospital procedures. Handles monetary transactions responsibly
- Collects cash, meal tickets, and guest tickets; makes change as necessary.
- Locks register when leaving immediate area.
- Reconciles cash accurately; fills out reconciliation slip precisely, including cash and/or meal tickets and beginning cash balance.
- Prepares menu board for the successive meal, as assigned. Reviews pricing with the Production Manager. Posts all signage for cafeteria meals
- Addresses all customers in a courteous manner; gives directions and helpful information needed by customers.

- Maintains a neat, orderly work area. Readily follows all necessary sanitation procedures as they apply to food prep and cleanliness.
- Prepares food items according to department procedures that involve proper food handling, production numbers and customer satisfaction.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Completion of high school: Literate; knowledge of basic arithmetic skills.
- One to two (1-2) years food service experiencecustomer service orientation, dealing with hospital personnel, patients and visitors.
- 2 years cashiering experience preferred.
Salary Range:
$17.38 - $23.98/Hourly
