Position Summary :
This is an exciting opportunity to join University Health Services (UHS) in our busy, team-oriented primary care clinic. The primary purpose of this position will be to provide medical care for University of Oregon students. The primary care clinic is designed to deliver excellent, effective, efficient healthcare to undergraduate and graduate students at UO. The clinic is staffed by medical providers, registered nurses, and medical assistants working together to support students’ health needs.
The primary care clinic functions within the broader Medical Services team, which includes acute care, sports medicine, psychiatry, and specialty care. UHS also has counseling, physical therapy, dental, pharmacy, and diagnostic services teams, providing a high level of support and collegiality for the providers in the primary care clinic. A secondary purpose of this position will be to provide leadership and advocacy in an area of expertise that will improve some aspect of patient care or student wellbeing.
This position will serve as a member of the UHS Medical Staff and will be mentored by the Lead Physician in primary care, reporting to the Medical Director. This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check and routine screening of Medicaid and Medicare Exclusion Lists.
