Job Description

The Associate Director advances the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program (RLP) by directing student recruitment and cohort selection, overseeing daily program operations, managing scholarship and budget processes, and coordinating national leadership events.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment & Cohort Selection

  • Recruitment Strategy: Design and execute a national recruitment plan to yield 40–50 qualified Remick Leaders annually; leverage ACE resources, collaborate with ACE Communications, manage the recruitment budget, and guide the Associate Program Director.
  • Selection Process: Oversee applicant interviews, track applicant data, lead cohort selection, communicate official decisions with stakeholders, and distribute acceptance and scholarship packages.
  • Platform Lead & Analytics: Serve as team lead for Slate system implementation and integration; continuously evaluate recruitment data, candidate selection metrics, and performance designations to refine strategies.
  • Stewardship: Provide candidate data and draft narrative copy for grant proposals and stewardship reports.

Program Operations & Team Leadership

  • Strategic Operations: Partner with the Director to align program operations with growth goals; provide pastoral care to candidates throughout their enrollment.
  • Team Supervision: Direct the Associate Program Director and work with administrative and recruitment staff to execute summer programming, retreats, liturgies, communications, and data collection.
  • Evaluation & HR: Develop participant feedback surveys, partner with the IEI Research team to manage evaluation dashboards, and collaborate with the IEI Business Manager on staff hiring, onboarding, and HR processes.

Stewardship, Budget & Scholarship Administration

  • Scholarship Allocation: Serve on the Scholarship Committee, maintain tracking dashboards, notify recipients, and coordinate award distributions with Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and the Business Office.
  • Advancement: Collaborate with advancement leadership to identify donor opportunities, secure funding for high-need candidates and priority dioceses, and prepare grant requests.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor operational expenses, update annual budget projections, and participate in annual budget planning alongside leadership.

Conference Operations & Other Duties

  • Conference Planning: Serve on the ACE Leadership Conference committee to manage event logistics and direct national promotion with the IEI Communications team.
  • General: Complete other programmatic duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required (Education, English, or Communications preferred), along with 3–4 years of related professional experience.
  • Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, characterized by flexibility, creativity, and openness to new ideas; proven ability to take initiative and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Technical Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication capabilities; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
