Applicants must have a PhD in English or a Master's Degree in English or a related field that includes a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in English. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates who exhibit a demonstrated record of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a current cv, and a sample composition syllabus.

Job Description
Established in 1887 as a school for the education of American Indians, The University of North Carolina at Pembroke serves a distinctly diverse student body and encourages inclusion and appreciation of the values of all people. The Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in Composition I and Composition II.

These positions are suited for potential faculty who possess terminal degrees in English or have a minimum of 18 hours of approved graduate course work in closely-related fields. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and stimulating environment is an important core value of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. ETWL has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and part-time faculty are expected to exhibit and maintain campus and departmental standards.
