| Work Schedule | Winter hours 1st Monday November to last Friday March 6:30 am - 3:00 pm; Monday - Friday. May be required to work events during weekends and evenings. Summer hours 1st Monday April to last Friday October 6:00 am - 2:30 pm; Monday - Friday. May be required to work events during weekends and evenings. Mandatory Position This position is designated as 'mandatory' and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the building as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | This position serves as the Grounds Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic - with responsibility for the maintenance and repair of multiple type of vehicles (gas, diesel, and electric powered), as well as 200 types of specialized grounds and playing fields motorized equipment ranging from two-stroke string trimmers, lawn movers, and blowers up to diesel skid loaders, backhoes, and tractors. Additionally, this position conducts research into new and/or necessary replacement equipment and parts, identifies necessary specifications and acquires quotes from vendors. |
