The Department of Art & Art History is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Graphic Design. The candidate will be an innovative educator with a background in graphic design who will contribute to the department’s B.F.A in Graphic Design. The successful candidate will teach graphic design courses at the undergraduate level. The Graphic Design program includes courses in digital and 2D foundations, digital and print design, typography, web and UX/UI design strategies, design research and design thinking, as well as senior professional preparation and capstone projects courses. Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load, and service on some Department, College, and University committees.

We are also seeking a full-time Lecturer in Art Education. The candidate will be an innovative educator with a background in visual arts who will contribute to the department’s B.F.A in Art, concentration in Art Education; and the School of Professional Studies’ Graduate Certificate in Education, concentration in Art Education. Both concentrations result in K-12 Licensure. The successful candidate will teach art education courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load, and service on some Department, College, and University committees. Assigned courses include both online and face-to-face classes. Duties may include supervision and observation of Student Teacher internship candidates, and teaching courses such as: Integrating Art Across the Curriculum, Elementary or Secondary Methods, and Artists as Teachers.
