The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Academic Affairs oversees the various educational programs offered through the School and supports academic excellence. The Office of Academic Affairs staff members often participate in the admissions process and implement curriculum reviews and accreditation.The Office of Academic Affairs offers pre-admission evaluations for prospective DDS students, assists current students with any number of issues, and advocates for the student body to ensure needs are met.
The Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for the basecamp courses for DDS students, KSA and ACT (Advocate-Clinician-Thinker) curriculum documentation, and assessment for capacities and encounter management. This position will review CODA Accreditation Standards that promote and monitor the continuous quality and improvement of dental education programs, to include reviewing syllabi, assessments, learner performance, faculty course evaluations, as well as conducting focus groups with students.
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities related to consulting or developing course content, curriculum, instructional technique/technology, distance education design, development or implementation, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution.
Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
