What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transfer Credit Specialist position at University of New Hampshire?
Under supervision of the Assistant Registrar for Transfer Evaluation, the individual in this position will be responsible for a broad range of transfer credit-related duties. The individual in this role must be able to efficiently process transfer credit evaluations for students, award credit in the Student Information System (SIS), and collaborate with the colleges and advisors to support the enrollment of students across UNH. The Transfer Credit Specialist must be meticulous in ensuring the accuracy of the student record and will also be responsible for providing service to students in person and via the phone and email.

$17.57 - $28.96

Duties/Responsibilities
Percentage of Time – 70%
- Processing transfer credit related items, including Transfer Credit Prior Approval forms and transcripts, for multiple campuses.
- Communicating with students and advisors and maintaining and updating documentation and course approvals.
- Supporting the Assistant Registrars in any project or research work as bandwidth allows.
- Collaborate with other departments including Admissions and the academic colleges to improve transfer credit processes from application through enrollment at UNH.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with data processing and computer software applications for a Registrar’s office.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and function professionally under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and interact with diverse individuals.
