The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Financial Business Analyst for Business and Finance.
The Financial Business Analyst supports the Controller’s Office and Business & Finance division by managing financial and administrative systems, designing workflows, designing document scanning processes and maintaining enterprise solutions such as OnBase and in Workday Finance. This role manages the help‑desk system, processes security requests, and ensures data consistency across financial platforms. It also collaborates with campus stakeholders to gather requirements, implement process improvements, and support system implementations and enhancements. In addition, the analyst contributes to reporting, accessibility compliance, and integration monitoring to maintain efficient and compliant operations. The position further supports specialized programs, such as the university’s copier program, through billing, vendor coordination, customer support, and ongoing system administration.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Form/Workflow Development and Implementation
- Develop new business workflows and forms that increase productivity within the University and finance.
- Collaborate on the development of requirements and design workflow and automation forms.
- Work with document system to implement and enforce document retention.
- Maintain existing forms, workflows, and integrations
- Design and document integration requirements between financial systems
- Support implementation of Business and Finance projects
Workday Security Initiation and Help Desk Management
- Assess and correspond to users who are requesting security changes in Workday
- Initiate security requests in Workday
- Create and modify Team Dynamix ticketing applications
Help Desk Ticket Processing
- Manage coverage for 1st level support for Workday Finance help desk, monitor SME progress toward response, advocate for the user for timely ticket resolution
- Generates weekly ticket reports to notify SME’s of outstanding tickets
- Analyzes help desk data, identifies trends and recommends communication/training interventions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Related Experience: Working in an IT role supporting business applications, knowledge of a programming language (C, C , Python, visual basic or other), website applications, training platforms, etc. and some experience within a financial environment.
Schedule and Travel Requirements
Occasional nights and weekends may be required
