Position Summary:
The Bhattacharya Lab at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team focused on developing lipid nanoparticle (LNPs) platforms for drug and gene delivery applications. Key Responsibilities:
· Design, formulate, and characterize lipid nanoparticles for nucleic acid and drug delivery.
· Conduct in vitro studies, including mammalian cell culture, transfection, and functional assays.
· Participate in in vivo studies evaluating delivery efficiency and safety in animal models.
· Analyze experimental data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at conferences.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within UNLV and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
· Hands-on experience with nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.
· Proficiency in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in animal handling, injections, and in vivo imaging.
· Background in mRNA/siRNA delivery or gene editing technologies.
· Strong record of scientific publications and excellent communication skills.
