Role Description The Experienced Oracle System Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle-based systems and related infrastructure to support the University of Nebraska System’s mission-critical applications. Qualifications
- Strong System Administration skills with hands-on experience managing Oracle environments, servers, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, resolve, and prevent complex system and application issues.
- Knowledge of Network Administration and Information Technology fundamentals, including security, performance, and connectivity.
- Experience with database administration concepts, scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python), and performance tuning is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-campus environment, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and follow established policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with higher education or large enterprise IT environments, and experience with change management and ITIL practices, is a plus.
