What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Assistant - LOVB Volleyball position at University of Nebraska System?
The Event Assistant – LOVB Volleyball will support the Baxter Arena Event Services team in delivering high-quality experiences for all LOVB volleyball home matches and related events. This hands-on role includes event preparation, setup, execution, tear-down, and guest services throughout the volleyball season.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with all LOVB volleyball home matches, including event setup, in-game operations, and post-event responsibilities.
- Assist with event setups, equipment needs, and logistical planning.
- Assist with oversight of event staff
- Coordinate and execute small-scale events, serving as the on-site event point of contact.
- Provide exceptional guest services, including assisting at the front reception desk as needed and answering emails and phone calls
- Support preparation for other large-scale events at Baxter Arena and Maverick Park
- Work evenings and weekends as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic event environments
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Capable of lifting, moving, and setting up event-related equipment
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable to changing priorities
