Required Qualifications
At the time of hire, candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Engineering (mechanical, biomedical, materials, electrical, etc.), physiology, molecular biology, immunology, or a closely related field. Candidates should also have a background and experience in experimental mechanical and/or electrical engineering projects related to medical device design and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with arterial tissues, including multiaxial mechanical characterization and flow assessment. Experience with endovascular devices (stents, stent-grafts, catheters, balloons, and delivery systems) is highly desirable, including design, manufacturing, or testing of these or other minimally invasive devices.
