Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Corporal role at the University of Nebraska at Kearney located in Kearney, NE. The Corporal will oversee daily operations to ensure safety and security on campus, act as a shift supervisor for public safety personnel, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and other safety concerns. The responsibilities include coordinating physical security measures, conducting training sessions for safety officers, and ensuring compliance with law enforcement protocols. The Corporal will also collaborate with university staff and provide leadership to maintain a secure and supportive environment for students and faculty.
Qualifications
- Supervisory skills with the ability to lead and oversee a team effectively.
- Proficiency in law enforcement procedures and experience in maintaining public safety.
- Expertise in security operations, including physical security and campus safety measures.
- Experience in planning and conducting training sessions for security personnel.

- Completion of a police academy or formal law enforcement training preferred.
