Position Overview
UNK Aviation is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach one section of Aviation Meteorology during the Fall 2026 term. This course will be delivered in a fully online format to approximately 20–30 undergraduate students. Instruction may be conducted asynchronously, synchronously, or through a hybrid online approach, depending on instructor preference and departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach one section of Aviation Meteorology in an online environment.
- Develop and deliver course content that supports student learning outcomes.
- Engage students through meaningful feedback, virtual interaction, and timely communication.
- Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, exams, and other appropriate evaluation tools.
- Maintain accurate grade and attendance records in accordance with university policies.
- Collaborate with UNK Aviation leadership as needed to support course and program quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with a relevant professional certification.
- Demonstrated experience with Aviation Weather and/or Meteorology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Aviation, or a closely related field.
- Professional experience as an Aviation Meteorologist or in a related aviation weather specialty.
