Job Description
Kansas City Athletics - Sports Peformance is seeking qualifed and enthusiastic applicants for an Assistant Director of Sports Performance position. The Assistant Director of Sports Performance is responsible for the management of the strength and conditioning of Kansas City Athletics Men’s Basketball program.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Some weekend and holiday work may be required based on specific sport seasons and team travel. The candidate will ensure compliance with NCAA, Summit League Conference, and University of Missouri-Kansas City regulations.
Position will be responsible for implementing strength and conditioning programs for Men’s Basketball, and potentially one other sport. This position will also communicate with their supervisor, sport coaches, and Sports Medicine Staff and assist with on-campus recruiting for assigned sports.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $55,000 - $75,000 annually
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

Job Description
Kansas City Athletics - Sports Peformance is seeking qualifed and enthusiastic applicants for an Assistant Director of Sports Performance position. The Assistant Director of Sports Performance is responsible for the management of the strength and conditioning of Kansas City Athletics Men’s Basketball program.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Program design, guiding student-athletes through a regimen of exercises to optimize performance and decrease injury potential;
- Assisting with the oversight of basketball-specific conditioning programs;
- Teaching proper weightlifting, speed, agility, and conditioning techniques;
- Encouraging and motivating student-athletes to train and perform to their utmost potential, scheduling athletic teams and supervising workouts of student-athletes;
- Collect/analyze practice GPS data to help make informed decisions about workload planning;
- Assist strength & conditioning staff with facility maintenance and upkeep (weight room, nutrition room);
- Player development and assisting in the implementation of rehab and reconditioning programs prescribed by the doctors and Sports Medicine staff.

- One to two years’ experience in developing and implementing weight training programs is necessary
- CSCS, SCCC, or NASM certification
- CPR/AED certification
- General nutrition background
- Experience with Catapult or other player load monitoring systems
