Job Description
Dr. Paul de Figueiredo’s lab in the Bond Life Sciences Center is seeking a part-time Research Specialist II to contribute to research focused on microbiology.
Responsibilities
Must be able to perform reliable and consistent on-site work with or without reasonable accommodation.

Shift
Onsite, 29 Hours a week; Work days and hours will be determined upon hire, based on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $18.87 - $34.87 per hour
Grade: GGS-008

Job Description
Dr. Paul de Figueiredo’s lab in the Bond Life Sciences Center is seeking a part-time Research Specialist II to contribute to research focused on microbiology.
Responsibilities
- Adherence to Protocols and Safety Guidelines:
- Follow established laboratory protocols and safety guidelines rigorously.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Precise Record Keeping and Data Management:
- Pay meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate records and manage data effectively.
- Keep detailed and organized laboratory notebooks.
- Collaboration and Independence:
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other lab members.
- Provide assistance and training to fellow researchers as needed.
- Laboratory Techniques:
- Prepare reagents for experiments.
- Perform molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to DNA extraction, PCR, Rt-PCR, and gel electrophoresis.
- Cultivate and maintain bacterial cultures.
