Job Description

The Center for Child Well-Being within the Department of Psychiatry in School of Medicine seeks a Program Coordinator II to support the Early Childhood Programs domain, specifically the Early Childhood Positive Behavior Support Program (ECPBS).

ECPBS works to increase childcare providers’ knowledge and abilities to build relationships with children and families, promote social-emotional development, reduce challenging behaviors, and promote Kindergarten readiness through implementation of the Pyramid Model.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized professional with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Candidates with a working knowledge of early child educational best practices and/or experience with interpersonal coaching are highly preferred.

Essential Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide evidence-based coaching and collaboration with early childhood educators. This includes modeling of evidence-based social-emotional strategies, action planning, focused observation and documentation, feedback, and reflection.
  • Provide programs and families support, guidance, and access to appropriate community resources.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of coaching and program activities and data according to best practices, Sponsor requirements, and Center for Child Well-Being standards.
  • Collaborate with other Center for Child Well-Being programs and community teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Needed Qualifications Include

  • Proven ability to address and respond effectively to people’s concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Excellent communication skills, including collaboration and facilitation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Suite; experience with REDCap preferred.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, systems, and technologies.

Shift

Shift Type: 8am-5pm M-F, occasional nights and weekends to accommodate trainings.

(Clinical) Office/Administrative Hours: No - Position will not have Office/Admin Hours

Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: No

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Degree or advanced training in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Developmental Psychology, Social Work, or other related field.

Additional Training: Experience with interpersonal coaching, reflective supervision, and/or evidence-based frameworks such as the Pyramid Model, Conscious Discipline, trauma-informed care, etc.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.71 - $25.00 hourly

Grade: GGS-009
