The Department of Community Practice, Division of Hospital Medicine, within the School of Medicine at MU Capital Region Medical Center (MU CRMC) is pleased to announce an opening for a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care to join their expanding team. This position works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote a team-based approach to patient care. The ideal candidate will provide expert clinical guidance, educate patients on treatment plans, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to optimize health outcomes.
Roles And Responsibilities
7am-7pm (7 on, 7 off), rotating schedule with the ability to be flexible when needs arise
Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Salary Range: $90,251.20 - $147,285.00 annually

- Provide independent medical support services in collaboration with physicians and department staff.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and modify plans as needed.
- Serve as a key resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals within the sub-specialty area.
- Address and resolve patient and family concerns regarding healthcare services.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including dictations and charting.
- Review and support patient paperwork requests, manage documents requiring signature, and oversee message resolution.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding procedures, treatments, prescriptions, referrals, therapy orders, and other medical concerns.
- Conduct patient physical examinations, obtain and document thorough histories, and relay essential medical information to physicians.
- Demonstrate high autonomy in diagnosing and treating health conditions while applying current research in a clinical setting.
- Identify patient-related trends and contribute to quality improvement, administrative, and educational initiatives within the department.
