What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at University of Missouri Campus Dining Services?
Job Overview:
Set up the dish machine and, if applicable, the pot-and-pan washing station. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in the dishwashing and pot-and-pan washing operations. Disassemble and clean//maintain the dish machine. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department’s customer service objectives. Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision (commitment to excellence and passion for people). Assist with sorting and securing all food items, paper goods, and other items. Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift
11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, alternating weekends
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Six months experience in the preparation and service of food in an institutional or commercial food service facility.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, including basic knife skills, and service and sanitation methods.
- Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds)
- Good physical health.
- Customer service and supervisory experience with a desire to provide high-quality customer service is strongly preferred.
