Responsibilities*
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join a research project focused on multiphysics simulations and computational modeling of batteries. The successful candidate will develop and perform finite element-based simulations, particularly facture simulations, to investigate the failure and damage of battery electrodes. The position will involve collaboration with experimental researchers to validate computational models and advance the understanding of material responses.
Required Qualifications*
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

- Ph.D. in Mechanics, Computational Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience with finite element modeling and multiphysics simulations using tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, Abaqus, or ANSYS.- Strong computational modeling and programming skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary research team.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
