Seeking a Research Assistant for a paid opportunity as a temp employee to assist and support the administration of a cancer research study at the University of Michigan Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Research program. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities*
This is an in-person, on-campus position for the School of Social Work. The work location will be in the School of Social Work building (SSWB) at 1080 S. University, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1106.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Job Summary
Seeking a Research Assistant for a paid opportunity as a temp employee to assist and support the administration of a cancer research study at the University of Michigan Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Research program. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- working with clinic staff to ensure the collection of psychosocial outcomes of adolescent and young adult cancer patients/survivors during their clinic visit;
- monitoring the back-end data in REDCap;
- sharing findings of overall patient psychosocial outcome trends with the program directors.
Responsibilities*
- Statistical data collection, monitoring, and management through REDCap
- Assist with participant Recruitment and Retention Efforts, including scheduling of study participants
- Coordinate, schedule, attend, and contribute to meetings with study investigators, sites and community stakeholders
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel, Google sheets)
- Familiarity and experience working with online survey platforms, specifically REDCap
- Statistical dataset construction, data entry and data management experience.
- Undergraduate course in statistics and demonstrated general knowledge of statistics
- Astute attention to detail
- Professional interpersonal communication and skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility to work on multiple simultaneous tasks/projects
- Meet timely deadlines and be willing to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary : $18 - $20
