Responsibilities*
Organize and manage projects related to day-to-day operations of the Center for Basic and Translational Science in the Department of Surgery.
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

- Organization of bi-weekly meetings
- Arranging visiting speakers
- Administering semi-annual grants including collecting information, arranging review and announcing results
- Ccoordinating workshops and conferences
- Collection of data needed for NIH for annual reports and ensuring with guideline compliance
- Collate grants and publications generated from the Center for donor and stakeholder annual reports
- Work with various department's grants offices to ensure seamless completion of research performance project reports and assist completion of documentation needed for future grant applications
- Work directly with the Large Grant Resources and Services Team for an upcoming P01 submission; perform editorial duties to ensure cohesive language and subject throughout the grant.
- Bachelor degree and two to four years related experience
- Formal grant management experience and editorial training
