Job Summary

Reporting to the HR Records Supervisor, you will maintain and audit human resources and benefit information for our employees, benefit eligible students, retirees, survivors and COBRA participants. You will analyze system data to answer escalated employee questions related to their employment and benefits information. An area of your work is aligning policies, guidelines and eligibility rules with requested changes and following transaction processing procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Tier III customer support by using your natural curiosity to solve customer problems with a focus on high-quality experiences.
  • Interpret organizational policies to address our customer needs, process exceptions and audit system data.
  • Understand plan changes and how they might affect benefits administration.
  • Manage complex benefit transactions including union contract language.
  • Deconstruct complex data to ensure we're resolving the actual cause, not just the symptoms.
  • Implement and improve procedures and processes for all benefits processing.
  • Consult with customers and teams by phone and email.
  • Develop relationships and work with diverse teams across the organization.


Skills You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in business or an equivalent combination of education, certification, experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years similar experience in a related role, with records management experience with some familiarity on benefits policies.
  • Intermediate proficiency in interpreting HR and Benefits policies.
  • Intermediate proficiency in analyzing data, including the use of Vlookup, Pivot tables and query to audit and reconcile complex benefit datasets across multiple relational systems.
