Conduct and document Outpatient ECT Assessments and work in the ECT PACU. Expectations of the position: Demonstrated ability to anticipate the clinical care needs of complex patients. Demonstrated ability to anticipate the clinical care needs of psychiatric complex patients. Nursing Specific Info Salary & Nursing Framework Level: This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F. Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort. Required Qualifications* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan ACLS and PALS certification (required within 3 months of hire) Experience using Welle, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or NAPPI techniques ECT nursing experience within the past year Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience Demonstrated ability to anticipate and respond to the clinical care needs of complex psychiatric patients **Under Michigan Law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of employment or transfer for this position. NOTE: In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment. Recent ECT or Ketamine administration nursing experience within the last year Recent experience completing ECT Assessments Recent UM-MiChart experience. Demonstrated knowledge of cognitive behavioral treatment of depression and other psychiatric disorders Demonstrated excellent attendance as evidenced by performance and evaluation. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work closely and collaborate with all team members. Infusion nursing experience, Must reflect a professional appearance and demeanor. Possess excellent customer service skills. Work Schedule Hours/Week: 28 hours/week Shift: Day shift, shift varies between 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. Schedule will require Mondays or Fridays. Location: University Hospital - Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)/ Ketamine Clinic Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
