What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gastroenterology, Hepatology Physician (open rank) position at University of Miami Health System?
The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for a Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist (open rank).
The physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct inpatient and outpatient care to Hepatology patients at UHealth Locations and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, as well as rounding/teaching on inpatients at UHealth Towers, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Preferred physician who has experience as a Transplant Hepatologist.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain outpatient clinical practice at Uhealth locations, UHealth Towers, and/or Satellite locations.
- Reading of Fibroscans .
- Rotate proportionate to other faculty on Hepatology inpatient and JMH teaching services.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO Degree Required.
- ACGME US Internal Medicine Residency.
- Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology Fellowship.
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine.
- Florida Medical License prior to start.
- Valid DEA licensure.
