Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner – PRN / Hourly NP or PA-c

University of Maryland Medical System
Baltimore, MD Part Time
POSTED ON 8/12/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/11/2026
Job Description

This Hourly 'PRN' position covers the Baltimore region of Maryland, with equal coverage across our Rotunda, Belvedere Square and Dundalk locations.

UM Urgent Care providers serve as clinical leaders in our centers—delivering exceptional medical care, fostering outstanding patient experiences, and working collaboratively in a close-knit team environment with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. We care for patients ages one and older, treating a wide range of conditions including upper respiratory infections, sprains and strains, lacerations requiring sutures, employee health physicals, work-related injuries, and preoperative evaluations.

PRN providers are required to give at least 2 days of availability each month, with two of those days being weekends.  All PRN providers must also give one day of availability each month to be the 'emergency on call' provider for all of our facilities.

** Required Question when submitting application **

1. “Why do you feel urgent care is the right place for you—both professionally and personally?”

2. “Tell me about a time when a patient (or team member) was upset or disappointed — and you helped turn it around.”

3. “What does a 10 out of 10 experience mean to you — for both patients and your teammates?”

Company Description

University of Maryland Urgent Care, a proud member of the University of Maryland Medical System, is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered care to individuals and families across the communities we serve. Qualifications

Candidates must be licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in good standing with the state of Maryland, or have licensure pending approval. An active NPI number, DEA registration, and CDS license are required, or the candidate must be in the process of obtaining them.
